Synopsis
Trying to find her way in the world while caught between the childish rivalries of her divorced parents, Charlie is desperate to take control. When she decides to watch Prime Minister’s Questions to help her with her exams, the twaddle exchanged in parliament suddenly feels very close to home.
“Home Affairs” is a stark look at the parallels between a broken home and a broken political system, and how coming of age can give you the courage to stand up to power.
An original play brought to you by EGO Boost, our community cast aged 12 to 25.
Quote
CHARLIE: “Politicians are like the parents of the nation. They’re hypocrites with a capital H.”
