EGO Creates gives you step by step tuition which enables all our members to craft stunning pieces for show and events.

EGO Creates is a friendly, relaxed and no pressure environment. Meeting every Monday morning (except bank holidays), this session is for adults with learning disabilities, neurodivergence, special educational needs and/or autism. Members learn the skills needed to design and make set and props for theatre and film.

  • You’ll make the tiniest of props to the largest of sets – and everything in between
  • Make stunning pieces of art for yourself, for our venue and for commissions
  • EGO provides all the equipment and resources needed for you to be the best artist you can be

Where does EGO Creates take place?

EGO Creates meets at EGO Arts Venue on Fleet St in Coventry City Centre. For more information, visit egoarts.co.uk/our-venue

EGO Creates meets every Monday morning, 10.30am-12.30pm, all year round, except bank holidays.

Yes. If you like EGO Creates, we recommend joining the EGO Creative Academy, where you will take your set- and prop-making skills to the next level with the aim of becoming a professional production artist. The Production Arts pathway of EGO Creative Academy meet every Thursday, 10am-4pm. Visit egoarts.co.uk/join-ego/ego-creative-academy

No. You can be a complete beginner, or even unsure if art is your thing. EGO Creates is for everyone. We will work with your ambition and ability level, however big or small.

Each workshop is run by professional production artists with years of experience facilitating workshops for people of all abilities. They are friendly, fun and incredibly talented.

You can access EGO Creates with an EGO membership, which costs £40 a month. We never charge our artists for extra materials, it’s all included in your monthly fee. For more information, visit egoarts.co.uk/membership

Yes! At EGO, our Production Arts department is always working on our next show. As a member of EGO Creates, you will be assisting the team in creating bold and beautiful artworks, set designs and props that will really be used on stage.

No. However, you will get real experience of creating props and sets for the stage, make new friends, and build invaluable skills in confidence and communication. You’ll also be in the running for EGO’s annual awards ceremony…

Yes. Everyone’s needs are different and we will adapt our workshops to cater to your needs.

Please wear clothes you wouldn’t mind getting splattered in paint, glitter or glue!
